Another early morning today as I had promised Anna we would go Skating in the Park. Got up and had myself some Oats with Protein Shake on them for breakfast, actually a pretty good way to start the day. Got to Annas for just before 9, then when she was ready we headed out and got to the park for just before 9:30. £3.90 to hire skates and skate for as long as you want isn’t a bad deal at all. Had a little trepidation in getting on skates as it has been at least 15 years since I was last on anything resembling Roller Skates, Blades or similar. I actually felt pretty comfortable when I got up on them and found I could move reasonably well and had pretty decent balance. By no means am I a natural, but it is something I would look at getting better at. I only fell over once, and that was about 2 hours in. Ended up skating for a total of about 3 hours 15 minutes. Burned off a hell of a lot of calories, so definitely something I will do again. I was done after the 3hr 15 mark, but Anna wanted to keep going, plus she had a friend due to meet her there and she wanted to skate with her for a bit. I sat for a while watching videos of Body Building on my phone, most notably Arnold (from his Olympia days) and Ronnie Coleman. Damn impressive guys.
Once we were able to drag Anna off the rink we wandered to the Sainburys to pick up some Cheat Day food. After a month of working hard we had both decided to treat ourselves. I got a 4 serving Brownie & Mousse desert that I have been eyeing up all month. When we got back to Annas, before we could enjoy our spoils, we needed to weigh in, check body fat, do measurements and take progress pictures. I’m not going to go into all the numbers here as they are all up on my BodyBuilding.com MyBodySpace profile, but I will say I am now 13st 9lbs (an overall loss of 1st 12lbs since I started) and apparently my bodyfat is 12.6%. I was also pleased that my waist had slimmed by 1.5cm and my chest has grown by 1.4cm, not much but it all adds up over time. I am pretty damn happy with the pictures as well, I can see a really good change from the June picture to now, shows what hard work does.
After all the weighing & measuring it was EAT ALL THE THINGS time, the desert tub didn’t last long. Lots of sitting in a semi food coma followed as we talked about this and that. When we had recovered we decided on Pizza for tea. I got a 12″ Square Pizza with each corner being a different topping – Ham & Chicken, Explosive, Bolagnese and Spicy Chicken. I loved that Pizza, however our relationship was only fleeting, soon only a few crusts remained. A further food coma was then on the cards. When I was eventually able to move I headed home and went to bed (it was pushing Midnight by the time I left). A really fun day with a damn good reward at the end of it, but tomorrow it is back to the gym.
My intake for the day came in at 3864/2670 less 2032 for exercise (I told you skating burned a lot) leaving me a net 1832
